Al Nasr lost 1-3 in AG Cup semi-finals after penalty shootout

Al Nasr lost against Shabab Al Ahli by 1/3 by means of a penalty shootout in the match took place this evening at Al Maktoum Stadium in the semi-finals of the Arabian Gulf Cup.

Al Nasr started the game with intense pressure on Shabab Al Ahli, and there were several attempts to score through Negredo, thanks to Mahmoud Khamis's assists. Said Suwaidan's efforts also contributed in the most of the attacks on the left side.

On the other hand, Shabab Al Ahli relied on attacks from the center and direct shoots. The game between the two teams was limited in the last minutes in relying on the exchange of counter-attacks, until the whistle of the end of the first half ended with a draw between the two teams.

The start of the second half of the game was very exciting. The two teams had been on the offensive for the first few minutes, and there was a very dangerous move by Al Nasr in the 63rd minute through Ronnie but the goalkeeper cleared it away, Negredo fired it again but it was driven away by the defense of Shabab Al Ahli.

In the 72nd minute coach Benat switched the first offensive in the ranks of Al Nasr by Al Akbari as an alternative to Ronnie, and then a second in the midfield with the entry of Habib Al Fardan and the exit of Jasim Yaqoob.

In the 88th minute, the referee awarded a wrong goal for the Shabab Ali Ahli, but after reviewing the VAR, canceled the goal because of an offense committed by Ivey against the player Said Suwaidan.

In the last minute of the first extra half, the referee judged the penalty kick for Shabab Al Ahli, doubtful after reffering to the video technique, Emiliano scored the goal for Shabab Ali Ahli, which ended the first extra half.

In the second extra time, Al Nasr team intensified the attacks in an attempt to tie the score, Negredo managed to equalize by a penalty that broought back Al Nasr team into the game , and then two teams enterted into penalty shootout, which resulted Shabab Al Ahli win 3-1 on penalties.
