Al Nasr clinches three precious points after beating Hatta with two goals without response by Jassem Yaqoub and Ryan Mendes in the match held at Al Maktoum Stadium on Friday night in the 18th round of the Arabian Gulf League, taking Al Nasr points tally to 33 and fourth place.
Al Nasr entered into the game in good spirits after qualifying the President's Cup final with a three-goal win over Sharjah, and the two teams began the match quietly, with much of the first half being played in the middle of the field with the exception of several attacking attempts that were timidly made by both parties to finish the first half with a tie.
Al Nasr coach made three substitutes at once at the beginning of the second half, joining Yaqoub Al Balooshi, Jassem Yaqoob and Tariq Novais instead of Glaubert Lima, Muhannad Khamis and Habib Al Fardan, to enable the attack in search of the match's first goal, while the Hatta team relied on counter-attacks aiming to scoe the goal of success.
Al Nasr scored the game's first goal in the 85th minute, after Ryan Mendes burst into the penalty area and transferred an intricate cross to substitute Jassem Yaqoob, who turned him straight into the Hatta net, without wasting time, Diaa Saba brilliantly passed a cross to his teammate Ryan Mendes, who fired it brilliantly towards Hatta net, scoring the match's second goal for Al Nasr team.
