  • Al Nasr Basketball Team claimed second place in the UAE Open Federation Cup for Men following a narrow 103–100 loss to Shabab Al Ahli in the final played yesterday at Shabab Al Ahli Hall in Al Mamzar.The final delivered an exciting and closely contested game, with both teams battling intensely until the closing seconds. Al Nasr produced a strong performance in the fourth quarter and came very close to securing the title, driven by an impressive offensive comeback and outstanding three-point shooting.Harris, Hassan Abdullah, and Roy Devine led the scoring surge for “Al Ameed,” helping the team regain momentum and put the title within reach during the final minutes.However, a few decisive moments late in the game allowed the hosts to edge ahead and secure the win in the final stages.

  • Our first basketball team continued its brilliance, successfully defending the UAE Basketball Cup title for the second year in a row after a well-deserved 78-71 victory over Shabab Al Ahli in the final held at Kalba Club Hall.Al Ameed started the game strongly, finishing the first quarter ahead (18-16), before falling behind in the second quarter, which ended in favor of Shabab Al Ahli (25-18). The first half concluded with the opponents leading (41-36).In the second half, the stars of Al Ameed showed great fighting spirit and made a strong comeback to win the third quarter (61-60). They then asserted their dominance in the final quarter despite the exit of star player Mohammed Harath on his fifth foul. The team secured the victory with a decisive double from captain Saleh Sultan, sealing the match at (78-71).Following the final whistle, the trophy ceremony was held in the presence of Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of His Highness the Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, who presented the team with the cup and gold medals.The ceremony was also attended by Major General (Ret.) Ismail Al Qarqawi, President of the Arab and UAE Basketball Federations, and Mr. Salem bin Ali, Board Member of Al Nasr Sports Company and General Supervisor of the Basketball Sector at the club.

  • Rashed Bin Hamdan Hall at Al Nasr Club will host the Dubai International Basketball Championship, featuring 10 teams in its 34th edition, taking place from January 24 to February 2.The championship’s preliminary round will be played in two groups. Group A includes the UAE National Team, Al Nasr Club, Oman Union Jordan, Beirut Club (Lebanon), and Strong Group (Philippines). Group B consists of Tunisia’s National Team, Sharjah Club, Ahli Tripoli (Libya), Al-Hikma Club (Lebanon), and Zamboanga (Philippines).

  • Under the patronage of Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Al Nasr Sports Club, the club will host the 37th edition of the Arab Men’s Basketball Championship from 25 September to 6 October 2025 at Rashid bin Hamdan Hall in Dubai.The tournament will feature 16 Arab teams divided into four groups. Group A includes Al Nasr (UAE), Homs Al Fidaa (Syria), Shaab Hadramout (Yemen), and Qadisiya (Kuwait). Group B features Antonine (Lebanon), Ahli Tripoli (Libya), Manama (Bahrain), and Kuwait Club (Kuwait). Group C is led by Al Arabi (Qatar) alongside Kazma (Kuwait), Al Seeb (Oman), and Al Mina (Yemen). Group D brings together Al Hikma (Lebanon), Al Wahda (Syria), Al Bashair (Oman), and Al Rayyan (Qatar).On this occasion, H.E Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita, Chairman of Al Nasr Sports Club, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan for his patronage, affirming that this support reflects His Highness’s continued commitment to the club’s journey and his vision of enhancing Al Nasr’s role as a historic sports institution and a proud representative of UAE sports.He added that Al Nasr takes great pride in hosting this major Arab event, assuring that the championship will be organized at the highest level to reflect the UAE’s leading position in hosting regional and international sporting events.For his part, H.E.   • Al Nasr’s junior basketball team was crowned champions of the National League after a well-deserved 75–67 victory over Al Hamriyah in the final match.The awarding ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Mariam Al Mheiri, Head of the Office of International Affairs at the Presidential Court, His Excellency Abdul Latif Al Fardan, Vice President of the UAE Basketball Federation, His Excellency Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Club, and Mr. Adel Al Jasmi, General Supervisor of Basketball at Al Nasr Club.The title-winning team featured an outstanding group of young talents: Thani Bilal, Nawaf Badr, Obaid Ahmed, Saeed Suleiman, Hamza Ayman, Ahmed Mousa, Omar Ahmed, Sultan Majid, Rashid Ali, Abdullah Ibrahim, Ali Emadi Al Hajri, and Salem Al Muhairi — all of whom delivered excellent performances and deserved the championship title.This achievement came under the exceptional leadership of head coach Ammar Jamaluddin and his assistants Mohammed Bouqaaoud and Mohammed Hassan Al Qassab, alongside the dedicated efforts of team administrators Saif Dha’an Al Falasi and Mohammed Ibrahim.
