Al Nasr qualified for the semi-finals of the Cup of His Highness the President of the State, after defeating Ajman with a score of 2-1 in the match that brought them together at Sharjah Club Stadium in the quarter-finals.
Al-Nasr started the match by pressuring Ajman to open the scoring, and despite its advantage, Rafael Guimaraes scored a goal for Ajman in the 13th minute. In the second half, Al Nasr continued with offensive pressure, and Adel Taarabt snatched the equalizer in the 53rd minute with a beautiful shot, and Portuguese Iuri Medeiros confirmed Al Nasr’s superiority with the second goal in the 56th minute after following up on Ahmed Jashak’s cross, which he put into the net.
Al-Nasr continued its offensive attempts, and Ajman tried to reduce the gap, but Al Nasr’s organized defense repelled its attacks, so the match ended with Al-Nasr’s victory and its advancement to the semi-finals of the His Highness the President of the State Cup, where it will face the winner of Sharjah and Shabab Al-Ahli match.
