Al Nasr began their ADNOC Pro League campaign with a 5-1 victory over host Al Orooba in a match held at Dibba Stadium, kicking off the first round of the 2024-2025 season.
Al Nasr took full control of the first half with a commanding offensive display. Adel Taarabt opened the scoring in the 8th minute after receiving a pass from Moussa Ndiaye just outside the penalty area, marking the first goal of the 2024-2025 ADNOC Pro League season and his 15th goal in the competition. The onslaught continued, and it resulted in a second goal in the 20th minute by Moussa Ndiaye, assisted by Adel Taarabt.
In the second half, Al Nasr kept up the pressure, with Marouan Azarkan adding a third goal in the 59th minute, becoming the tenth Dutch player to score in the ADNOC Pro League. Al Orooba responded with a goal from Bubacarr Trawally in the 68th minute, but Al Nasr quickly responded , with Adel Taarabt netting his second and the team's fourth goal in the 73rd minute. Substitute Manolo Gabbiadini sealed the victory with a fifth goal in the 90+2 minute, securing a 5-1 win and placing Al Nasr at the top of the ADNOC Pro League standings.
