Al Nasr held goalless draw against Shabab Al Ahli

Al Nasr held goalless draw against Shabab Al Ahli in the match which brought together the two teams today at Rashid Stadium in the opening of the 20th round of the Arabian Gulf League.

The beginning of the first half of the match saw a rapid attacks and counter-attacks by the both teams, Al Nasr performed well in the first quarter, thanks to the attacks led by Barrada and Jasim Yaqoub. The most dangerous attempts were Tarek Ahmed's fired shot, saved by opponents goalkeeper and Barrada's shoot in the 38th minute, the ball passed very close to the right corner of the goal post.

The last five minutes of the first half carried out some attacks by Shabab Al Ahli team, which were tackeld by Ahmed Shambeh, the half ended with a draw between the two teams.

The start of the second half was with more enthusiastic and dangerous attacks, the vigilance of goalkeeper Shambeh, saved more than one threats of Shabab Al Al Ahli in the first minutes of the game.

In the 74th minute, Jovanovic made two substitutions, Salem Saled  entered in the replacement of Abdelaziz Barrada and Fawaz Awanah as substitute for Jasim Yaqoub.

Attempts continued to achieve the goal, Marcelo almost scored the first goal in the "80th" minute when he fire a strong shoot, but Shabab Al Ahli goalkeeper made an excellent save.

The blues intensified the attempts in the last five minutes through Salem Saleh and Marcelo with the assits of Mahmoud Khamis.

The coach made the third switch at the start of stoppage time where Massoud Sulaiman entered an alternative to Ali Hussein.

The blues continued their attempts until the last moments of the game, the referee fired the whistle annoucning the end of the game, which ended a goalless draw between the two teams.

The draw ensures the Blues stay third place with 36 points in the league standings table.
