Al Nasr wins over Al Ain and earned 6th point in the Arabian Gulf Cup

Al Nasr earned an important 2-1 victory over Al Ain, Iury Lirio and Salem Saleh scored goals, in the second round of the Arabian Gulf Cup match held at Hazaa Bin Zayed Stadium.

A strong start came from Al Nasr and managed to score in the second minute of the first half through Brazilian Iury after a successful dribble for the defender.

The first half saw an advantage for Al-Nasr, with Al Ain goalkeeper to face more than one scoring chances. In turn, Al Ain improved gradually and managed to draw from the first chance in 32 minutes through Brazilian wing Caio.

In the second half, coach Ivan Jovanovic increased the offensive depth by pushing Rashid Mohammed as substitute for Jasim Yaqoub in 64th minute and Salem Saleh as substitute for Saeed Suwaidan in 67th minutes, giving the Blues an ability to continue the pressure over Al Ain, the duo gave Rosa and Cabaya more opportunities. Al Ain team changed their strategy by closing the space and relying on quick counter-attacks. Jovanovic then made a third change in 78th minutes after Frenchman Cabay replaced with Ali Hussein.

With a well-organized counterattack, Salem Salih managed to secure the second goal of the match, after a pass from Brazilian Iury .

The referee counted 4 minutes in stoppage time and then fired whistle announcing the end of the game with Al Nasr 2-1 victory over Al Ain.
