A new challenge in the President’s Cup – Al Nasr raises its readiness to face Baniyas

Al Nasr head coach Slaviša Jokanović and player Mohammed Abdulbaset spoke at the pre-match press conference ahead of the team’s Round of 16 match against Baniyas in the President’s Cup, which will take place on Saturday at Al Maktoum Stadium.

At the start of the conference, Jokanović emphasized the importance of the tournament, noting that the team is giving it great attention and aims to deliver a strong performance that ensures qualification to the next round. He said:
“It’s a very important competition, and we’ll be facing a team that hasn’t started the season well, but they have fast and powerful forwards who can be dangerous. Our goal is to control the match, maintain our defensive balance, and deal seriously with any counterattacks.”

Jokanović added that the team will approach the match with a winning mentality and a sense of responsibility, stressing that cup matches require high concentration and realistic play to achieve the desired goal.

For his part, Mohammed Abdulbaset highlighted the difficulty of the encounter and the importance of focus in such games, saying:
“The match will undoubtedly be tough, and that’s what makes cup matches special. We’ll enter the game with maximum focus, and our ambition is to move forward and go as far as possible in the prestigious tournament.”
