The pre match press conference for Al Nasr vs Al Ain which will be held next Friday at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in the twenty-third round of the Arabian Gulf League, was held in the presence of the Argentine Ramon Diaz, technical director of our first football team and goalkeeper Ahmed Shambih.
At the beginning of his speech, the technical director said: I offer my sincere condolences and sympathy on the death of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God rest his soul, one of the most important leaders of sports in the UAE, and I pray to God to bring him into peace.
The coach added, saying: We have an important and exciting match with Al Ain, during which we strive to play strong and achieve a positive result, and it is also an opportunity for us to prepare perfectly for the final of the Arabian Gulf Cup, which we will play in a few days.
The coach continued his speech, saying: Ryan Mendes will be absent from our ranks in the next Al Ain match due to the suspension, while the rest of the players
are training, especially international players such as Mehdi Obeid, in preparation for the upcoming Al Ain match.
When asked why Al Nasr has not won the league in recent years, the coach replied, saying: The beautiful thing in football is that there is always an opportunity, and the numbers are found to be broken, and we seek to break this number by achieving victory, especially since the three points will help us a lot to advance in the ranking and approach of the qualifying seats for the AFC Champions League.
On the recent Fujairah match, the coach said: Nobody disagrees about the development and improvement of Al Nasr team in a short period recently, and the recent Fujairah match is the worst for us, as we were not focused and committed and did many mistakes that led to the loss.
In his turn, the goalkeeper Ahmed Shambeh spoke at the press conference, saying: We offer condolences ourself and condolences to the people of the Emirates on the death of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him and forgive him and bless him paradise.
Shambih added: We were not satisfied with our level in the last match against Fujairah, but we closed its page and our focus is currently on facing Al Ain, from which we seek to get out with three points to enter the golden square again.
When asked about not summoning him to the national team despite his brilliance, Shambih replied, saying: We are in the team one group, and if Shambih shines, this is due to the brilliance of the entire team, and for the team, all the players strive and fight to represent the national team, and not being called up may be view of the coach and I respect it, In the end, this gives me more motivation to join the national team in the future.
