Al Nasr Club hosted a "Cybercrime" educational awareness lecture for 19-year-old academy players, administrative and technical staff, in collaboration and coordination with Dubai Police, as part of the positive spirit program sponsored by Dubai Police.
Mr. Ahmed Al Ali gave the lecture, which concentrated on electronic crimes and their harm to society, and covered a variety of issues, including defamation and hacking, cyber-bullying and online abuse, electronic blackmail, slander and insult, fraud and electronic fraud.
The talk focused on the concept of cybercrime, as well as its most salient elements, characteristics, objectives, types, and countermeasures.
The presentation focused on raising knowledge of the hazards and harms of cybercrime to individuals and society, developing appropriate behaviors and values, and improving proactive security awareness to avoid becoming a victim of blackmail via websites and social media. It also emphasized the importance of being cautious about sharing personal information on social media and raising awareness. Proactive security to combat these crimes, as well as the proper way to deal with, report, and handle them, as they have grown prevalent as a result of the widespread use of the Internet, social media, and electronic games, necessitating awareness of the dangers of these crimes.
