Al Nasr hosts the Sports Day event for Down syndrome

In the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the General Sports Authority, Her Excellency Noura Al Jasmi, Board Member of Al Nasr Investment Company, and Mr. Ahmed Al Janahi, CEO of Sports Games Company in Al Nasr Club, and as part of a series of “Sports for Life” initiatives, Al Nasr Club hosted an event "Sports Day for People with Down Syndrome" at Rashid bin Hamdan Hall, within the framework of the club's keenness to actively contribute to community events, and to promote the community sports culture, which contributes to supporting people of determination at all levels, especially sports, and helps empower them and integrate them into society and motivate them to achieve successes and achievements. .

This event comes among many events that Al-Nasr Club was keen to host to encourage behavior and sports activity through creative and innovative initiatives targeting people of determination to urge them to engage in sports activity, and support community sports to improve the health of all society, especially people of determination who are part of the community entity, and a basic building block for building The homeland, embracing, supporting and encouraging them is a human, moral and social duty.
The event included 50 participants from different emirates of the country, who were distributed on football, basketball, bocce ball, table tennis, fitness and group aerobics with the aim of giving them the opportunity to practice sports activities that benefit them and release their energies and creativity, emphasizing the ability of owners Determination of people with Down syndrome to integrate into all activities, especially sports.
On the importance of the event, His Excellency Sheikh Suhail Al Maktoum said: “The authority is keen to consolidate the social value of sport by launching several initiatives aimed at encouraging members of society to practice sports, in line with the authority’s strategic plan in line with the directives of our wise leadership aimed at making sports one of the most prominent features Emirati society, and consolidating the pillars of a distinguished sports community that contributes to strengthening the state’s presence in international forums.
He stressed that this initiative reflects the Authority's keenness to provide more continuous support to people of determination with the aim of empowering and integrating them, and that the achievements of people of determination at the international level are a source of pride, and that the success of this initiative embodies the importance of the concept of effective partnership and coordination of efforts to advance the reality of Emirati sports, and strengthen Its presence and position on the global competitive map, and the provision of opportunities to support segments of society to practice various sports.

At the end of the event, Al Nasr Club was honored, represented by Mr. Ahmed Al Janahi, CEO of the Sports Games Company, and the players, gifts were distributed to them and souvenir photos were taken for them.
