Introductory press conference for Al Nasr vs Al Wasl match in ADNOC Pro League

In the pre-match press conference for the 26th and final round of the ADNOC Pro League match between Al Nasr and Al Wasl, which will take place next Sunday, June 2, at Zabeel Stadium, coach Alfred Schreuder discussed the team's preparations for the match. He was accompanied by goalkeeper Ahmed Shambih.

Mr. Schreuder said: "I was surprised by the decision to change the match venue. I would have preferred to face the league champions at our home ground to continue achieving positive results at Al Maktoum Stadium, especially in the second half of the season. However, we have to accept all decisions. I just want everyone to perform their roles to the fullest in the derby match, especially the VAR referees, as we have not forgotten and will not forget what happened in the  president’s cup final match."

He added: "We always have the motivation to win every match, and in the final match, we definitely aim to win to end this season on a high note. Samir Memisevic might miss the match due to injury, but we will finalize the team list based on the players' conditions in today's and tomorrow's training sessions."

For his part, goalkeeper Ahmed Shambih spoke about the upcoming match against Al Wasl, emphasizing its importance and the players' desire to win, saying: "The derby match is always important for all players and has special considerations and motivations."

He continued: "Since the arrival of coach Alfred Schreuder, many things have changed, and he has instilled a spirit of victory and triumph in all the players, which has been reflected in the team's results in the second half of the season. We must learn from everything that happened this season, both the positive and negative aspects, for the next season."

He concluded: "We Trust in our abilities as players; everyone has given their all this season, and we had hoped to achieve better results."
