Al-Nasr Club held a pre-match press conference today ahead of their highly anticipated clash against Shabab Al-Ahli. The match is set to take place tomorrow, Sunday, at Al Maktoum Stadium as part of the second leg of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup quarterfinals.
Head coach Alfred Schreuder emphasized that the match will be intense and well-balanced, noting the analysis of both teams’ performances in the first leg, which ended with a victory for Shabab Al-Ahli. He stated, “We were solid defensively and in midfield, and we created scoring opportunities, but we failed to capitalize on them. Meanwhile, the opponent took advantage of their chances and scored two goals. We have proven that we can compete against any team. We respect Shabab Al-Ahli, but we will fight to overturn the result in tomorrow’s match.”
Goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Tamimi added, “Tomorrow’s match is crucial as it will be played on our home ground in front of our loyal fans. The coach always encourages us to play passionately against any opponent. We will give our all to overcome the first-leg result, secure victory, and advance to the semifinals.”
