Before Saturday’s match against Shabab Al Ahli, greater focus and an effort to get back on track

The pre-match press conference for the second leg of the ADIB Cup quarter-final between Al Nasr and Shabab Al Ahli was held yesterday. The game will take place tomorrow, Saturday, at Al Maktoum Stadium.

Head coach Slaviša Jokanović confirmed the team’s full readiness for the encounter, noting that it will be the third meeting with Shabab Al Ahli this season. He said:

“We enter the match with a complete squad in our third meeting this season with Shabab Al Ahli. We delivered good performances before despite some mistakes that we are working to correct. Confidence, focus, and managing the key details will be the keys to qualification. I have full trust in my players and their abilities, and we are capable of securing the win.”

For his part, player Zayed Al Zaabi spoke about the difficulty of the match and the importance of mental and technical readiness, saying:

“It will certainly be a tough encounter, as both teams have what it takes to win. We are capable of securing the result and reaching the semi-finals. Al Nasr is no less than any other team, and we trust ourselves and our abilities as players. We must learn from our mistakes and play with maximum focus to achieve what we aim for.”
